MCLEAN, Va.— Today, Coldwell Banker McLean presented local charity Medical Care for Children Partnership with a $3,000 grant from the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation. At a time when the entire nation is roiled in debate on how to expand healthcare coverage to all Americans, Coldwell Banker monies will immediately provide medical care to children of uninsured working families in Fairfax County.
Margery Sher, executive director of Medical Care for Children, expressed her gratitude. “Thank you for Coldwell Banker’s support, and for confirming MCCP’s belief that we all share the responsibility for creating healthy outcomes for children.”
“Coldwell Banker Cares promotes and enhances the efforts of our agents and employees in the communities they serve,” explained Coldwell Banker McLean Branch Vice President Kendra Wright. “We aim to strengthen the four cornerstones of life for every individual: food, shelter, health and community.”
In 2009, Coldwell Banker Cares disbursed nearly $60,000 to 27 local charities in the Baltimore-Washington area. Wright added, “MCCP utilizes private and public partnerships to make a positive impact on those in need in our community. By supporting their important work, we are happy to be of assistance to the people of Fairfax County.”
